The Centre for Migration Studies, University of Ghana (CMS-UG) will mark its 20th Anniversary in 2026 with a year-long series of activities celebrating two decades of excellence in migration scholarship, policy engagement and transformative partnerships.

Established in 2006, CMS-UG has emerged as a leading centre for migration research and education in Africa, contributing significantly to migration policy development, global research collaboration and public discourse on human mobility in Africa and beyond.

The anniversary celebrations will honour the Centre’s legacy while creating space to reflect on its future direction, recognising the scholars, partners, alumni and practitioners whose work has shaped CMS-UG’s growth and impact.
